TouchDesigner Developer (m/f/d)

WHITEvoid is an art and design studio. Our work spans a wide range of innovative projects worldwide — from architecture and interior design to light installations, interactive exhibitions, and custom software solutions. Our in-house brand KINETIC LIGHTS is a leading specialist in kinetic lighting. For more than fifteen years, our installations and products have received international recognition and awards for innovation and design.

Tasks

• Development and maintenance of the Touch Designer based control software for the KINETIC LIGHTS event automation system
• Adapt and expand the software to new technologies and customer requests
• Close interdisciplinary cooperation with the engineering team
• On-site setup and operation of national and international installations and projects
• Organize and manage softwareversions (git)
• Collaborate closely with Creative Directors to bring creative concepts to life using TouchDesigner
• Contribute your own creative ideas and technical solutions throughout the development process
• Technical documentation

Requirements

• Extensive experience with TouchDesigner 099 with a portfolio of successfully completed projects
• Python or similar scripting languages
• Experience with object-oriented programming desirable
• Basic understanding of the 3D, POPand SOP workflow in TouchDesigner
• Basic understanding of GLSL
• Experience and knowledge related to interactive, electromechanical projects
• Good understanding of key aspects relatedto sensors, actorsand communication protocols
• A creative mindset with the confidence to contribute ideas, not just execute concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• The ability to balance creative vision with technical feasibility in a collaborative environment.
• High level of motivation and hands-on mentality
• Accurate, careful, independent and responsible way of working
• Very good command of English
